Job description and duties:

  • Supervise and prepare dishes
  • Assess the quality of products/ingredients to be used and prepare (auxiliary) tools.
  • Perform preparatory tasks (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.), then prepare part(s) or whole dish(es) (possibly simultaneously).
  • Carry out interim quality checks (doneness, taste, color, texture, etc.).
  • Prepare orders for handover (by assistants).
  • Perform tasks in accordance with regulations (HACCP, occupational health & safety, etc.).
  • Stock and order management
  • Plan daily tasks and order food and other stock replenishments. Receive, check and store ordered items.
  • Monitor shelf life and hygiene of stock.
  • Cleaning and tidying tasks
  • Proposals for improvement and optimization
  • Check and account for quantities of ingredients and semi-finished products used.
  • Contribute to the menu, dishes, work instructions, etc.
  • Develop/adjust recipes. Elaborate proposals into recipe instructions, etc.
